Who Needs a Visa to Vietnam
 

Only citizens of certain countries can visit Vietnam without an entry visa. They include:

- Most citizens of ASEAN member-countries: Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Lao citizens do not need a Vietnam visa if they are visiting the country within 30 days; passport holders from the Philippines do not need a visa for 21 days; Brunei passport holders are not required to get a visa to Vietnam for 15 days. They could apply for popular passport type with return tickets. Citizens of Cambodia, Myanmar, and Timor-Leste are all required to get a visa to travel Vietnam.

- Passport holders from Korea, Japan, and the Scandinavian nations (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland) do not need a visa to Vietnam if they intend to stay in the country within 15 days. They could also apply for popular passport type with return tickets.

- Starting this year, Russian passport holders are no longer required a visa to travel in Vietnam for 15 days as long as they have return tickets.

- All other citizens are required to get a Vietnam entry visa.

Visa application

There are different ways of applying for a visa.

First option

1. Visit www.myvietnamvisa.com to check if you need a visa for Vietnam.

2. In case you need a visa, please fill in the online visa order form which will take a couple of minutes.

3. Confirm the information for processing your visa and pay the service fee.

4. You will receive the Visa Approval Letter within 2 working days and with this letter you can pick up your visa at the airport.

5. Please remember to bring at least 2 photos of passport regulation size (04*06cm) and 25 USD for stamp fees per person (1 month single).

Second option

1. Visit www.myvietnamvisa.com to check if you need a visa for Vietnam.

2. In case you need a visa, you can also contact INDOCHINA SERVICES VIETNAM who can assist you in the application process.

3. Please send the following information to Mr. Tam at tam.vo@ics-events.com:

- The city where your Vietnamese Embassy is located.

- Your arrival date in Vietnam (the visa is normally valid for one month).

- Photocopy of your passport which need to be valid at least for 6 months.

- The name of your hotel in Vietnam

- If you would like to apply for a visa on arrival, please mention this in the email.

- Pre-payment of the visa and the handling fee is required by credit card or bank transfer.

Please note that if you apply for a visa at the Vietnamese Embassy in your country, you need a VISA APPROVAL NUMBER but if you apply for a visa on arrival at the airport you need VISA INVITATION LETTER. You can’t use the VISA APPROVAL NUMBER to obtain a visa on arrival and vice versa.

We highly recommend you to apply for a visa at the Vietnamese Embassy in your country to avoid any delay at the airport in Vietnam.
